The year 2021 begins for Gairesa with great news: the support of the Xunta de Galicia for the creation of a new factory in our facilities to produce disinfectants and antiseptics, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. The objective of the administration with this funding programme is to develop the Galician industry sector in order to be prepared for this pandemic and possible future health emergency situations, limiting the dependence on foreign supplies.
This project will consist of the creation, within Gairesa’s facilities, of a manufacturing plant for antiseptic and disinfectant products, with new equipment and machinery. The committed investment is around 200,000 € and the funding from the Xunta de Galicia, through the IGAPE program “Inviste Covid-19”, could reach 117,290 €.
To choose Gairesa among the supported companies, the technical committee in charge of the allocation of funds has considered the technical capacity demonstrated by the company in its 40 years of history, as well as the important dedication to innovation projects in which we have participated.
