The Xunta de Galicia has recognised GAIRESA as a company committed to Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) responsibility. These three criteria broaden the scope of action with respect to the well-known concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The ESG criteria are in line with GAIRESA’s Sustainability strategy. Our Mission is to design Innovative, Sustainable and Quality products for our customers. Without forgetting our Vision to be leaders in Innovation prioritising a sustainable and quality strategy in our values as a company. The “Resposabilízate” Programme has the following objectives:
- Diagnose the current and potential state of ESG/CSR obligations, and provide participants with advice and training to implement and develop their own actions.
- Promote the incorporation of ESG/CSR obligations in the different business models, so that this has a positive impact on business results and on the vision of their respective stakeholders.
These objectives have been achieved in GAIRESA through several stages:
- Analysis of the status, competitive potential and situation of CSR in the company.
- Advice and training.
- Definition of the CSR Action Plan, implementation of the first actions and monitoring of their development.
The award ceremony for the Sello Responsabilízate was held on Friday 2 December at the Pazo de Vista Alegre, in the presence of authorities from the Xunta de Galicia and representatives of the Galician business community.
