The products made by Gairesa are demanded both by general public and by professionals for different applications such as isolations, waterproofing, façades reparation, and so forth. There is always a common denominator in these applications, and that is durability. That’s one of our main aims, making longer the life of our products, thus reducing the environmental impact of the manufacture process.

Besides our acrylic paints, always based on aqueous dispersions, Gairesa has increased in the last years the number of environment-friendly materials present in its brochure, developing a new series of water-based products. Furthermore, approximately 90% of our formulations are free of solvents (zero-VOC).

Gairesa has also proved a commitment to a sustainable future. Thus, our R&D&I Department is permanently studying alternatives to traditional resins. Just one example of this was the project BIOSOS, developed in the period 2009 – 2012 and funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation. One of the aims of this project was to obtain new materials from natural resources like biomass. Nowadays, many of the raw materials used in Gairesa are coming totally or partially from renewable sources.
